Terms of Service

Version 2026-10-22. This summary is for convenience only; the Korean text is the official version and governs.

  • Service. Alphabebe ("Bebe") is an AI companion made mainly for young children (ages 0–5), run by TOOEASY Inc. (투이지 주식회사). It offers text and voice chat with Bebe, AI-made storybooks, story videos, recipes, games, songs and brick toys (with their building sheets), growth features, a parent space and optional notifications, as a web app, together with any services we add later or offer with partners. Operating policies and service-specific terms form part of these Terms.
  • Accounts. Only adults (19 or older) may sign up, and only a child's legal guardian may add that child. The contract starts when you agree to these Terms, the collection and use of personal data and the legal-guardian consent; we email you a record of it. Consent to health information (allergies) is optional; without it recipes do not leave allergens out. We set the number of child profiles per account (five today). Keep your email and devices secure. We may decline or defer a sign-up for a reasonable cause.
  • Guardian responsibility. The service assumes a guardian is present or supervising. The parent gate is a simple safeguard, not a lock. Activity in your account, including child mode, counts as yours. Devices and connectivity are at your own cost.
  • AI limitations. Bebe is an AI, not a person, and AI-made content is labelled "AI가 만든 콘텐츠". Answers and content can be wrong or unsuitable, and we do not warrant their accuracy, completeness or fitness for a purpose. Bebe gives no medical, nutritional, developmental, psychological or educational advice; check every recipe yourself (age, choking hazards, cooking, allergens). In an emergency call 119 (911 in the US), not Bebe. Bebe says it is an AI at the day's first conversation and reminds you to take a break every three hours of continuing use, and words about suicide or self-harm bring up crisis lines (details in the Privacy Policy). Companion chatbots may not be suitable for some minors; Bebe is made for young children to use with a guardian.
  • Content. Your inputs remain yours. You allow us to store, copy, adapt, transmit and process inputs and generated content to provide, operate and improve the service, develop new features and services, and for statistics and research; anything containing personal data is used only within the Privacy Policy and the law. To the extent the law allows, rights in generated content other than your inputs belong to us, and you may use generated content freely for personal, non-commercial purposes; commercial use needs our prior consent. AI output may not be protected by copyright and may resemble others' results. Do not remove the AI label. A testimonial a guardian sends from the parent space may appear on our introduction page, with the introduction they wrote and no names, only if they agreed to publication; we decide whether to publish it, may leave out anything that could identify a child, and stop showing it once the guardian takes it down in settings. Generated content is private by default; a guardian may send a storybook or story video by a share link, which anyone holding it can open until it ends (30 days today) or the guardian turns it off; we may use it to present and promote the service, and content that identifies a child (such as a name) only with the guardian's consent. We do not currently use children's conversations or content to train AI models; if that changes we will follow the procedures the law requires and tell you in advance. Feedback you send us may be used freely.
  • Notices and offers. We may send service notices by email or in the app, and promotional messages only if you opted in. Guardian-facing screens may show our own or partners' products and services. We do not target advertising at children.
  • Prohibited use. Impersonation, registering someone else's child, steering Bebe toward harmful content or bypassing safeguards, any exploitation of children or unlawful use, automated bulk requests or cap evasion, hacking or scraping, and misleading distribution of generated content. We may warn, restrict, suspend or terminate, and remove unlawful or infringing content.
  • Hearts and paid products. Conversations (text and voice) and making content use hearts; the hearts screen in the parent space shows what costs how many. A text turn's cost can vary with what it costs to process, and voice uses hearts by the minute. Every account gets welcome hearts once after consent (250 today), and we may give more free hearts through events or rewards such as inviting another family, on the conditions shown on that screen (how many, how often, how long they last); we may change or end such events, and hearts already given last until the date announced. Paid products are a plan ("Alphabebe Basic", paid monthly or a year at once) that refills hearts every month and heart packs; names, prices, hearts and conditions are shown before you pay. A child may still meet a daily safety limit while hearts remain. Free hearts, what things cost, products and limits may change; changes that work against you on something already paid are announced in advance. The service is in beta.
  • Payment. Payments are processed by Polar Software, Inc. as merchant of record, under Polar's buyer terms; we never receive card numbers. Only the guardian can start a payment, inside the parent gate. The currency follows your location (KRW in Korea). If a child paid without the guardian knowing, tell us and we cancel and refund after checking.
  • Plan and renewal. The plan starts on payment. On the monthly plan each payment fills that month's plan hearts (500 today), which last until the period ends and do not roll over. On the yearly plan the hearts (500 today) come on the day of payment and the same day of each following month; only there, unused hearts carry into the next month, up to a cap (1,000 today). The plan renews monthly or yearly until cancelled; Polar emails you 7 days before a yearly renewal. A monthly subscriber can switch to the year on the plan screen: the unused part of the month is credited and the difference is charged at once, and the month's remaining hearts end when the year's first hearts arrive. Any free trial or discount we offer that turns into a paid plan is shown with its terms before you pay and needs your consent; such offers may be limited to once per person. Price increases are announced 30 days ahead, with consent where the law requires it. If a renewal payment fails, Polar retries and the plan may stay on for a grace period (7 days today) before it ends.
  • Cancellation and refunds. Cancel the plan any time under the parent space's plan screen ("Manage"); the paid period runs to its end (a cancelled year keeps receiving its monthly hearts). Within 7 days of a charge you can withdraw and get a full refund if you have not used the plan hearts from that charge; because they are digital content supplied from the moment of payment and the welcome hearts let you try first, a period whose hearts you used cannot be withdrawn or refunded (E-Commerce Act, Art. 17(2)(5)), though cancelling stops future charges. A refund takes back that period's plan hearts. After the 7 days, a yearly plan can be ended early on request: we refund the price less the months begun (at the monthly price, 9,900 won today) and less a fee of up to 10% of the remainder, and take back unused plan hearts. If our fault kept you from using the plan or hearts, we return the hearts, extend the period or refund. No refund of the remaining period after suspension or termination for a breach, except as the law requires. Refunds go back through Polar to the original payment method.
  • Hearts. Hearts are used only inside the service; they cannot be cashed out or transferred, and the children of one account share them. Monthly plan hearts last until their period ends, yearly plan hearts through the following month, bought hearts 5 years, a pack's bonus hearts 1 year, welcome and other free hearts until a date we announce (otherwise without limit). The soonest-ending hearts are used first and bought hearts last. Storybooks, videos, recipes, games and songs take hearts when making starts and give them back if it fails; hearts used for text or voice conversation are not returned. Within 7 days of buying a pack you can withdraw for its unused hearts on the hearts screen; after that, unused bought hearts are refunded on request less a fee of up to 10% of the price. Free and bonus hearts are not refunded, and refunding a pack may take back its bonus. Deleting the account refunds unused bought hearts; free hearts lapse. We may correct hearts given or used by mistake and take back hearts obtained unfairly.
  • Changes, suspension and transfer. We may change or end all or part of the service for operational, technical or business reasons, and do not compensate for changes to a free service unless the law requires it. If the whole service ends we give 30 days' notice so you can export your data; if a paid product or the service ends, future charges stop and paid periods you can no longer use, and unused bought hearts, are refunded. The service and our position under these Terms may be transferred in a merger or business transfer, with the notice the law requires.
  • Termination. Delete your account at any time in Parent space → Settings (before consenting, "Leave without agreeing" erases it at once); signing in within 30 days restores it, after which all data is erased. Deleting the account while subscribed stops the next renewal; refunds follow the rules above. See Deleting your data. We may terminate for a breach of these Terms, and may delete accounts not signed in to for more than 12 months after 30 days' notice by email.
  • Liability. We are not liable for force majeure, including failures of outside services beyond our reasonable control, or for losses caused by your own fault. For the free service we are liable only for intent or gross negligence, including for indirect or consequential loss; for the paid plan, save for intent or gross negligence, our liability is limited to the subscription fee you paid for the month in which the loss arose. None of this limits rights you have under Korean consumer law.
  • Law and disputes. Korean law applies, and courts are determined under the Civil Procedure Act. Contact contact@alphabebe.ai first; you may also apply to the Korea Consumer Agency (1372), the Content Dispute Resolution Committee (1588-1500) or the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee (1833-6972).
  • Company. TOOEASY Inc., 319 Sujeong-ro, Sujeong-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea. Business registration number 414-86-01444.
